  5.  @rhorizon  Obviously you are a proponent of huge government involvement in people's lives making as many decisions for us as possible at the expense of the taxpayer. That's one way of looking at it but it's not the basic founding principles of this country which has been the most successful and powerful in the history of the world. Who does everyone turn to when in need of help? The United States. Millions pour in illegally just to get here. The place can't be all bad regardless of lack of Medicare for all. I would suggest people should be able to sign up for Medicare, and pay for it, at will, but not have it shoved down our throats through a government mandate. Regardless of that, I think it would be a logistics nightmare in a country the size of ours with such a large population. We have enough waste, inefficiency and corruption in DC as it is. We don't need to turn more control of our lives over to government bureaucracy. Give me small government and low taxes. I'll take care of myself.

  6.  @rhorizon  If it were that simple and only meant a slight increase why haven't we done it? Nothing's free. The money has to come form somewhere. The rich don't have enough to pay for it ll. The burden will fall on the middle class. If congress were a bit more cooperative Trump could have done something about healthcare years ago.

  7.  @rhorizon  Every other country that has socialized healthcare is much smaller than ours both in size and population. This has nothing to do with Donald Trump. Healthcare costs have been on the rise since at least the 80s.
