  6. John: We don't have nationalized healthcare because our country is much larger than the UK or Canada and the costs would be staggering, some 30 trillion-plus. There are also multiple conflicts of interests with the healthcare industry run for profit and socialized medicine that would put many doctors, pharmaceutical companies and equipment manufacturers out of business or force them to make considerably less. That doesn't fly well in a capitalistic country. I'm not saying it's right, but it's a factor. As long as healthcare is run as a for profit business, you'll never see it nationalized in the USA and it's too big an industry to stamp out. Money is power.

  9. Healthcare is great. Who's going to pay for it? Do the democrats have a viable plan for that? I don't think so. Dems would love to put a "check" on Trump, but it won't happen.
