  1. I agree totally, but still feel some blame has to be put on parents. They are lacking in parental skills and try to put the blame on the school district. That's not right, either. I have to put up with BS like this constantly as a school district employee so perhaps I tend to side with my employer over what are often unreasonable and irresponsible parents. The teacher is a blooming idiot and in flagrant violation of all laws. He should know better than to think he'll get away with this. I work with kids from K-12 and am very sensitive to child abuse. But I feel most of it is in the home, not at school. Get out from in front of the TV, know what your kids are doing and be on top of things.

  2. This guy's a teacher? Unbelievable! More should or could have been done by her parents for Krissake! Where are they? They had no inkling of this kind of activity between their daughter and the teacher? She probably went with him willingly to run away from home. Everyone's quick to blame the school district. Where's the parents?

  3. Jerry liked young boys. How sick is that? A man in his 50s-60s taking showers with 14 year old boys? Yuck! Getting back to this case, I work for the local school district. We fight against unreasonable parents on an almost daily basis and are constantly being threatened with lawsuits. It's always the school's fault. Where are the parents? If you read between the lines it appears this girl is from a broken home. A message from Dad was cited, but where's Mom? Hopefully she looks at this guy as some kind of father figure and he means her no bodily harm. Still, that's no excuse to run off like vagabonds. At least he should know this won't work. Sooner or later they'll be caught. He's in a ton of trouble and is obviously mentally deranged in some way. Armed and dangerous? This guy's a school teacher? It seems to me he should have been dismissed long ago. Still, In the end, I feel it's the parent's responsibility to look out for the welfare of their kids.
