  2. Shame on America for allowing any part of the country to deteriorate to this! The open spaces must have been houses that were torn down with rubble removed, but there's still much to be done. Then there's always a few people hanging on, keeping up their homes and still living there.Detroit is certainly the king of urban decay. All the work and resources that went into building this neighborhood and now it's come to this. What a shame.

  3. Some parts of our country still mine coal. It generates 1/3 of our electricity. It comes out of the hills of West Virginia by the train load and other places.

  6.  @124marsh  Dems have run Detroit for decades as well as all other cities in the USA that have urban decay and high crime. Maybe it's just a coincidence...
