  1. Detroit residents should be real proud of themselves, what they've done to their neighborhoods in that they've forced fast food restaurants to protect themselves as if it were a bank. It's probably the only way people will work there.

How about these people standing around with nothing to do, I assume on unemployment, food stamps and welfare, organize community crime watch groups, clean up the litter and leave the empty houses alone, unvandalized? They could put their idle time to some use if they had a lick of motivation. The city might even help them do it and provide assistance. Instead they lie around and blame everyone else.

Keep them dependent on meager government handouts in the form of welfare and food stamps, and they've got the votes. The black man needs to rise up against this exploitation. A conservative, self-reliant black man or woman is the democrats worst nightmare.

  13. I sure do hope so. I'd love to see the abandoned plants repurposed and create jobs for the residents. The problem Detroit isn't the only American city in this shape, but I think it's the worst. We have huge tasks ahead of us.
