  2. Does the CEO of General Motors ever tour these neighborhoods? Or ho about Obama? Now that he's no longer president maybe he could devote more energy to helping cities like this. He sure didn't do anything while he was in office.

  3. What always puzzles me is why all the vandalism? Can't people just leave the places alone then maybe they can be used again someday? I've never understood the senseless destruction of property. There's always a few that are still lived in and kept up. The houses are so close together if one catches fire, the one next to it gets scorched even if it was a good house. I wonder why they were built so close together? A lot of them seem to have had the support beams knocked out so the porch roof falls down. What the hell's the point of that? Detroit may be the worst, but there's plenty of other American cities that are about as bad. I'm glad we elected our first black president. What do the progressives have to say about this mess?
