  4. I think Detroit's the winner maybe just because it's a bigger city. Hard to believe a song was once written about Gary, Indiana; part of a Broadway play, I think. The rate of vandalism in Gary seems slightly lower. There's always those who have kept up their houses sitting in the middle of it all. I wonder how they feel?
