  22. With 260 million gas or diesel powered vehicles in the USA alone, EV production as noted here is hardly a replacement for the conventional car or truck. Fossil fuels will be the dominant energy source for decades to come, probably forever, as solar and wind won't provide the huge amounts of energy needed to power industry, such as these mining operations, among others.
