  1. It wasn't the school district, but an independent transportation company. It seems in many cases of school bus accidents, it's independent contractors, not school district-run transportation operations. Our school district has an in-house transportation department. We haven't lost, abused, forgotten, injured or killed one student in more than 40 years of operation. I'd like to know if this was possibly an act of terrorism? Asking the kids of they wanted to die was similar to what one of the 9/11 hijackers said to passengers before the plane went into the tower.

  2. The bus company is a huge operation with over 13,000 vehicles. The percentage of accidents is comparatively low. It's still not an excuse considering all the warnings they were given about this guy. I don't know how that went ignored.
