  9. Adorable. Obviously they are in search of food. None here. It's good you scared them off. They shouldn't get too comfortable around humans. Even though most of us love them, humans are their enemy.

  16. We have black bears where I live but they generally dot' get this friendly A few summers ago we had a yearling coming around on a fairly regular basis, but for the most part they keep their distance.

  24. I love your videos. Have watched them for years. Bears are out in NE PA as off a couple weeks ago. I already had a bird feeder destroyed by a late night visitor who left a nice paw print on the picture window. This video is a good example of how humans and nature can live peacefully together. Mom can still be protective of the yearlings, though. They'll probably part company this summer.

  25. Black bears are very interesting animals. I'm not afraid of them, but steer clear of one with cubs. Noteworthy is how cautions and resourceful the tiny cubs are already this early in their lives. Momma bear is obviously monitored closely judging by the ear tags and collar. With man's ever increasing encroachment on their environment, they have to be watched over for their own good.

  26. I don't know how this bear got so fat but he sure as hell hasn't missed a meal. He'll have plenty of blubber to carry him through hibernation this winter.

  28. Great video! You got some real good footage here. I hope the bears stay out of man's way and no harm comes to them. I haven't seen any around our house yet, but I'm sure they're coming. I think an unusually cold Spring has kept them at bay for a while.

  29. Is there bear hunting in your area? I hope none of your friends get blown away by the "sportsmen." I'm always trying to protect the wildlife where we line in PA. In our case it's mostly deer, including some good size bucks. I hope they stay close enough to the house so hunters can't get them. A few bears come around, too, but not many.

  31. What guests they are: Mop up all the food, break the feeder then casually walk away without so much as a thank you! :-) I've seen it many times myself with these critters! Maybe you should throw some seed on your walkway. They'll mop it up like a vacuum cleaner and won't destroy your feeder and claw your porch railing. Do you have any plan to protect them from hunters before they hibernate for the winter?

  34. Maybe you should put some food out that's easier for the bears to access so you don't get your bird feeder torn apart all the time. We had a yearling coming around our house three summers ago for several months. We enjoyed his company. Haven't had too many lately.
