  1. Black bears are very interesting animals. I'm not afraid of them, but steer clear of one with cubs. Noteworthy is how cautions and resourceful the tiny cubs are already this early in their lives. Momma bear is obviously monitored closely judging by the ear tags and collar. With man's ever increasing encroachment on their environment, they have to be watched over for their own good.
