  1. ⁠ @angelasmr8818 Gen X here, born in 1968, I was not a boomers child, my mom was born 1937 and father 1940…boomers is 1946 to 1954 …I came in a time boomers had all the good jobs and finding one wasn’t easy…my father is still alive he is 84 so I inherited nothing yet, I made my way, worked hard, built my own home, started my own job…save and give my 2 gen Z children student money so they can graduate debt free, I saw that shit coming because I had it the hard way and in life everything is not getting better but worst…I believe generations have to help each other and try to ease the burden.

Even if minimum wages are increased it wont do nothing…the minimum wages is 15,75$ in Québec, Canada and will be again increased at 16,10$ may 1st …but rent increase more, food increase more, electricity bill increase, gas increase, etc…so all the potion of minimum increase is gone and Even more so we get poorer each year, ….the problem is greed, the lack of social rentals, no rent control, the rich not paying fair share, gouvernement not founding the construction of non profitable rentals but giving money to subsidize private companies projects and some of them never gives jobs and abandon the project…private sector owning our resources instead of public own by federal gouvernement for all citizens profits, selling our Raw materials to USA for them to transform it and make huge profits instead of transforming our self in Canada and keep the profits for our needs like our health care system that need more funding..

As a gen X who struggles because of gen boomers having all before, I made my way, made sacrifices and save as much as possible to pay my children student fees, I saw that coming….so the best I could do is my kids gen Z finish school without student loan so at least they are beginning their life debts free….and yes they thanked with good grades and graduated….life is not easy, we have to help each others.
