Homes were not affordable for my husband and i in 1994, with our salaries, we made the decision to move from the big town and went one hour north, we bought a lot, we cut some trees, we hired people for every steps of our home plans …no entrepreneur …we deal with all suppliers and services…we saved a lot…that was our first house, we sold it 8 years later and did it again for the second home, sold it again 16 years later, then for our last one, we bought and Old house that needed some love, we renovated, now it’s a beautiful house that i look forward to retirer in…. sometimes you can find gems but you have to compromise with the location and do some work…i still see some in the market that could be beautiful, the most important is that the fondation, structure, water, electricity is still in good shape….the rest you can renovate with work and Time…
