His parents did the best by not choosing a sex assignment surgery when he was born or young…intersex people must have the rights to choose by themselves.

@kaieastty8948 This is not legal, doctor need consent form and baby can't concent so parents is requested to sign...the only way a doctor is allowed without consent is in case of emergency life or death situation...so i don't understand how can they do that without consent .

@Official_HaveYouHeard Dress them neutral, no dress, no t-shirt with trucks printed on, simple unisex clothes…as for the gender affirming, kids usually affirm themselves as time goes by…my point is just don’t make any surgery if it is not life threatening, just for choosing by yourself the gender you want or you think the baby is….each case is different but usually time will tell…around puberty age you pretty much have a good idea settling in and the intersex person can express their thoughts….but that said, each case is different and must be treated in the best interest of the intersex person.

@cynthiaholland13 It is not that simple…look what I found …quote: People who are females have XX chromosomes. People who are intersex may have a mix of chromosomes, such as XXY. Or they may have some cells that are XY and some cells that are XX. Or they may have just one X chromosome (XO).

@bakheru1877 what I meant is including not choosing a particular sex gender….the right to choose by themselves (what they want) includes choosing male or female or be both or any combination they want or not, just be themselves and express themselves like they choose to, it’s their life.

@Biedronecqa can’t just be that…People who are intersex may have a mix of chromosomes, such as XXY. Or they may have some cells that are XY and some cells that are XX.

@jiggaleepuff i know but people see it that way, when seeing a child wearing a dress they see a girl and when seeing a child with pants and a monster truck on t-shirt they see a boy…it’s perceived that way, it’s called stereotypes…

@blah329 how the clothes are associated with a specific gender depends of the country’s social norms…some countries can be different, the world is big…in my country, unisex types of clothes are clothes that a boy or a girl can wear…ex: a plain color t-shirt without specific prints on, a regular pair of pants etc….

@koyanceps4107 i never called anyone a liar…read my comment again…from what i see in the comments maybe the practices of doctors differs from countries…some doctors are doing surgeries without parents consent and it’s not illegal? Or it is but they don’t do nothing about that?….but in other countries it’s illegal to do those surgeries without parents consent, and if they do without they can be sued and accused of malpractice…anyhow human rights should be preserved.
