All big cities have rent crises…because countries don’t control where the emigrants settle in, the vast majority of them want to be in a major city so… not happening just in New York…it’s happening in Canada major cities like Toronto, Montreal where the price of rentals have increased a lot…to many people not enough appartement rentals and not enough students rooms to….we should not accept immigrants if we can’t deal with the housing and rental problem…sad and makes me angry…

  6. A lot of Cities have regulations that don’t allow tiny houses…first thing would be to change those regulations. Hope it will change with time. Mine doesn’t even allow backyard second house…one house is allowed per land but you can have in the same house a small communicating appartement like for inter generation at the same adresse.

  7. Average worker rent a place has to have roommates 2 people or more in each bedroom and then landlords are angry because to many people in the apartment…landlords make it make sense.
