You might moan about the "quality" but I bet you it will look and work exactly they same in 20 years time which is something you wouldn't bet on the likes of a Bentley. I think we need to define more accurately what we call "quality".

I think the interior looks quite nice and the wood works well. People kinda jump on trends and then feel obliged to blast things a bit unnecessarily. I think his reaction was a bit extreme.

I'd really love to try one of these. I think KIA have been on a massive roll for quite a while now. I predicted years ago that they would catch up to the premium badges and I don't think we're far off that prediction coming true.

The Chinese aren't the only ones to "borrow" styling cues; the biggest of the big boys do it too. For Example how on earth did Mercedes GLE coupe get away with their almost direct rip-off of the BMW X6?!!!!
18
What's that metal eye patch thing on the rear offside window all about?
16
Looks really are subject. I'm 50 years old and I love the way the type r looks.
13
The Jimny's a cool shape but it's design features stand out best when there is some contrast, I think the cream and black is quite a cool option. Black on Black is a bit boring.
12
The way the contrast stitching doesn't line up on the passenger side would be totally unacceptable in a Ford hatchback nevermind a top of the range supercar!
11
I've never seen one of these races take this long. Seemed more like a 'journey' than a race. lol

Er...This is what VW are calling a 'new' car? This car looks have gone backwards and now looks just like the MK 6. They may have tweaked some of the materials and other bits and bobs here and there but surely when you've got a chance to design a new car it should move the game on visually as well as dynamically. What other people think of the car you drive is very important to buyers and also to manufacturers but with this new Golf, apart from the 'plate' no one will notice it was a new car. No one!
8
In order for the first task to be fair or accurate, you really needed to run and time them one by one up exactly the same stretch of hill, as it was, each lane was slightly different even in steepness.
8
The Golf looks bland inside and out. It actually looks like a design step back as it more closely resembles the mk6 than the mk 7. The Astra looks a awkward but the focus on looks at is visually purposeful.
6
What this really shows is that apart from the looks there really isn't a reason for the r8 over an RS6 because that race was as close as makes no difference and the rs6 is a whole lot more practical.
5
1 LOVE THE LOOK OF THE PREVIOUS MODEL TYPE R!!! It looks waaaay more intentional and dramatic than the car that replaced it.
5
The S -class looks way better. The interior looks more opulent and overall just a prettier looking thing.
4
I can tell you're on a commision with this review. ;-)
4
Why Diss the diesel before even driving it?
4
Wow! You are a really tough negotiator! You just beat this guy down and down. You got your 'haggle' on!
3
That's a bit odd @ 4:46, looks like another suitcase can easily fit
3
the R8 won but not by a significant margin and despite what the guy said the two hatchbacks weren't that far behind, well not a hundred grand behind anyway. And back in the real world (i.e. not an airfield) when would the 1 or 2 second difference ever really be a factor on a public road? That said I do love the RS6. The idea of being able to hang with the fastest road cars on the planet whilst being able to take 4 mates along for the ride is a really cool concept. Now all I need is £100,000. Anyone need a kidney?
2
Go all G-Wagon stylee and add some serious power while he's at it.
2
I think this is the first drag race where my pulse actually went down.
2
Bit more bleeping out required. Thanks
2
Dude, sounds like you're on a commission with this one! Never heard you wax so lyrical!
2
Soooo, what we've learned is that the lighter, smaller BMW is near as makes no difference AT ALL as quick as the bigger much heavier RS6. Why didn't you just go up against its actual direct rival, the Audi RS4?
2
Yes, but, it's just gonna get destroyed by the £36k MG Xpower. Performance for the masses.
2
Although it technically has a 'hatch', wouldn't the VRS more accurately be described as a saloon?
2
It looks 'pleasant', but to be honest for 2 million, I kinda want to have my socks blown completely off.
2
Come on, the 'diesel boring' thing is old. Lots of car makers have made loads of good to drive, thumping diesels over the years.
2
That is not in the 'least' a big enough margine of victory to really claim any difference between these two cars. Best off saving the money and buying used, then if you want just pop over to Celtic Tuning and get the car remapped to 400bhp, and pocket the £10k difference.
2
Why are all the cars in the review left-hand drive?
2
A clean sweep maybe but definitely not one worth £30,000!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
2
This review feels more like an 'advert' that a typical CARWOW review.
2
0-60 in 4.2 seconds?!!! That's NUTS!!! That's almost 2 seconds quicker than my favourite 'supercar' the Honda NSX. Now I'm really showing my age.
2
that's an awful lot of excuses for such an expensive car!
2
A case of the 'emperor's new clothes'. They've charged him £57k and cleverly given him a bunch of extras that don't add up to a hill of beans! This one video will probably go on to cost Audi millions, coz who's now gonna go and order all the extras when it's clear that they don't really make any difference?
2
I don't know why, but I'm not in the least, moved by this car. I feel no excitement towards it at all.
2
FIFTY-SEVEN THOUSAND POUNDS WORTH OF "EXTRAS"!!!!!!! I would spec out my complete range of dream cars for that!!! Don't believe me? 1. 2014 Audi rs6: £28k 2. 2022 Honda Civic Type R (my favorite version): £22k 3. Finished off with Peugeot RCZ 1.6 THP 200bhp or maybe a 2012 Mazda mx5 sport (something small, impractical, and fun) So, what would you spend £57k worth of expenses on instead of the Urus?
2
Best looking new EV.
2
100% Yes!! Go for the little Yaris. I can see that being one of those collectables worth twice the money in just a few years time.
2
I knew within the first few seconds of this review that He wasn't going to like this car.
2
How do you kill off superheroes? Give everyone 'superpowers'. That's exactly what this new era of electric cars has done. Almost all of them can now do 0-60 in under 4 seconds. Just yesterday (it seems), those figures were purely the domain of 'hyper-cars'. So if all cars are now super fast, what will be the next thing that car makers will use to separate their cars from all the others?
2
***** actually yeh you're right and I particularly the mk5 gti but when a company the size of VW announce a new car I expect more.
1
how did you make this video? the 'move around' effect is a cool feature.
1
Tell me if the guy doesn't have the best day job in the wolrd!!!!
1
0.2 of a second should not cost over a million pounds!!!!
1
That has to be the laziest makeover of all time!!! Even the lazy designers of the Porsche 911 change the model more than that!!!
1
It's actually not a bad-looking car. When think of, for example, the venerable VW Golf, which is seen almost like the medium hatch 'Gofgather', that not really a good looking car, in truth it's quite boring looking. This Sandero doesn't look any less visually interesting than that.
1
Why is the starting price higher than the Audi SQ2's?
1
Choosing the best looking between the Lexus and The Toyota It's a bit like trying to decide who's the best looking between Popeye and Yosemite Sam
