  1. Europeans always drive manual transmission? It's a myth nowadays. Come to a dealer and try to buy a car with MT, the options are really poor. Soon manual will be a lux expensive option before they completely disappear. Btw, I think VW's modern preselective transmissions like DSG are the most advanced and comfortable for daily driving and it can save you a lot of fuel (which is important in Europe), on the other hand they are so complex inside that makes them overall expensive. In the end, honestly, AT is ofc better for casual drivers, but personally I love analogue dashboards and manual transmissions. p.s. Currently driving 2022 Hyundai and planned to buy it with AT, but by occasion it's manual and I'm not unhappy about that :)
