  1. Because dealership is not interested in eternal engines at all. They plan you to drive your car for 3-5 years (or even less), then change to the new model. Many of the contemporary engines are built the way in which they're hardly maintainable, if it got an issue - easier and cheaper just to exchange the whole engine...
