  1. Soon the YOY metric will be ignored in favor of month over month. Yes, I understated that same YOY is done to eliminate typical seasonal variations. A 10% reduction near term with show as positive YOY and hence some will conclude that prices are still rising but at lower velocity. This would obviously be an incorrect conclusion. Watch out for this. I have seen it happen before. Learn to read the tea leaves before making financial decisions.
