  1. Do a historic search on MLS to see how long it took in the 2007-8 drop to see how long it took to drop the same%. That will give one guide. Alternatively, see what % reduction was realized when bottom hit, apply the same % drop to recent highs today, then let this guide you to an expected price per SF. However remember the property price is the combination of land value and structure value. They don't necessarily go down at same rate.

  2. I have seen some price drops on new housing but might be a lower speced home unless this is a previously completed house. Is the house with 43k drop an already completed property?

  3. OK. Then my guess is that they are offering to complete the property with fewer options at completion. None the less, there is likely a reduction in the completed property than one could have negotiated in last few months.
