It's like a trace has worn off once one is not worried about getting in before prices rise further. This is accentuated when prices start to fall. Then the fear becomes that of grabbing a falling knife. Of course this is contingent upon price reductions. Fun to look at 2007 to 2011 MLS records to see the price genesis prior to contract. I saw dozens of these back in the day. Those more recent to real estate would find this incomprehensible. Yes, it did happen. Future uncertain, but not sure if a fed pivot would reverse this.
