  1. We were fortunate in Sarasota/Manatee county area. Damage here is minimal and mainly trees fallen on houses. Naples/Ft Myers was catastrophic. We avoided tidal surge since storm did not get north of us while still in gulf. When storm is south of you, it pushes the water out to sea due to counterclockwise wind motion. Had this come ashore north of Tampa, flood damage would have been much more severe. Would have been like what was seen in Ft Myers, but in major metro

  3. No problem. Without power right now but I have a solar panel battery charging setup with inverter which keeps phone charged and power to drop in freezer. Things here are pretty much normal but gas stations with fuel are limited and lines are long. Weather is unseasonably cool for moment so not sweltering in our homes. Power crews everywhere to get power restored. Roads clear and traffic moving fine. Have gas grill to heat coffee water and cook food. Grocery stores open. Not really bad here during recovery. Down south in Steve's area is different story and hope he resurfaces intact. If ok he would be a good interview for personal account of that area.
