I worked for DHS and was trained by a former uniformed Secret Service agent. Anyone who can't holster their weapon without looking at the holster is poorly trained.

@AreaCode757 The military is not law enforcement and most of the military is made up of kids that only know how to use rifles. The civilian schools began teaching American infantry CQB back in 2003, before that the training in that area was poor. Don't ever compare an 11B MOS kid with 3 years in the Army to professionals doing this stuff for 20+ years. Holstering your weapon is muscle memory to professionals, there is no debate.

@tinononit8623 No you aren't. Looking down to reload or grab other tools is a good way to lose sight of your target or get a not so nice surprise by the suspect. Real world experience>YouTube "influencers". I have already been in a shootout years ago, but hey what do I know?

@kennethblessing6634 Nearly 20 years ago they were the best in the business. I was trained by military veterans many of which had combat experience from the Gulf Wars, Somalia, Kosovo, Afghanistan, and Iraq. This was long before DEI. I could not survive in a DEI environment today in 2024, as soon as I spoke up I would be sent off to undesirable locations claiming, "we need you there" to silence me and make an example.
