@Nylon_riot Piers is another Brit bred for servitude under a class based system. He can't fully comprehend rights granted by God like Americans can. You either understand freedom or understand servitude.

@wasatchm Defamation is for lying about someone and they lose money over it. If there are no financial damages good luck with defamation lawsuits.

@86RSJag You seem to not understand the 1st amendment and later Supreme Court precedent on the amendment. Defamation is a civil lawsuit due to a person lying which leads to financial damages. The civil suit is brought on by individuals not the government. The government is not allowed to suppress your free speech or enlist private citizens and companies to suppress or like we saw with Twitter and others.

For all of the ridiculous foreigners out there especially the Euros which were bred for class system servitude. Americans fought a war bringing Natural Rights to the forefront of a society and the 1st amendment is the right by God to have the freedom of speech and not be punished by the government. The Constitution is a limit on government, not individuals. If the founders of America were alive today they would be calling for the second revolution as would have never accepted such a monstrosity of government to lord over Americans like we see in Europe and the third world. The 1st amendment is granted by God therefore above all of man's "laws".
