  1. I was a US Air Force Crew Chief on C-130E and H's from 1999-2009. When you have your tool box you check out from CTK it's inspected periodically by CTK personnel, and inspected when you receive it, when you return it, and in-between working on every aircraft. This type of accident should never happen if NCOs and airmen are doing their job. Somebody is getting fired over this.

  4. That's actually the standard USAF procedure that you described. I was a Crew Chief from 1999-2009.
