  1. The superiority thought process in Japan is very real. In 1998 when I was living on Yokosuka Naval Base, Japan I was joking with a few Japanese friends during a Jet Li movie where he was speaking Chinese. I jokingly said, "Hey what is he saying" to my Japanese friend, then her friend who was also a Tokyo university graduate says to me, "We don't know Chinese, Japanese are here! (as she raises her hand above her head),and then says Chinese are down here! (as she puts her hand down near her thigh).
