Peter you could have just visited the Pacific Northwest like WA state and British Columbia. We have some of the most beautiful scenery in the world and I just saw a massive rainbow like that a month ago lol.

@thebandofbastards4934 China is hesitant because US Navy fleets like the 7th fleet in Japan, and fleets in WA state and San Diego will cut Chinese trade down to nearly zero with a blockade. This is the reason China wants to build military airstrips in the middle of the ocean.

The United States doesn't need any country. Taiwanese need to get off their asses and defend themselves. I have already seen reports of their lazy reservists and incompetent generals. My father's 7th fleet battle group out of Japan used to always defend them from Chinese aggression at the expense of American families missing so many special days like births, bdays, Christmas, etc. Americans don't sign up to defend all of the other disrespectful foreigners talking constant smack in their media and the internet while their government begs for free American tax payer defense.

@jeanlamb5026 That is correct but the Chinese are hoping to take down the USAF tanker fleet in the Pacific greatly hampering air operations. The U.S. Navy has responded with F-18s fitted as buddy tankers and drones that will soon conduct air refueling for the Navy. The Chinese as other dictators are fully aware of all of our weak presidents especially that of the Democrats and simply building something like an airstrip for forward projection is enough to make Democrats surrender.
