I remember so many Canadian armchair generals from 2006-2021 saying the F-35 is not advanced 🤣. You people were told this was the only game in town for NATO and it took you over a decade to realize it.

@t-rev2923 Russia attacked Ukraine because Russia believes the NATO alliance is weak and it is considering so many nations don't even bother paying 2% of GDP towards their own military. The days of America using trade deficits to enrich nations that have no interest in the alliance are over. America is now getting tough on trade and it's time for us to be rich again and time for other nations to pay up to help themselves for a change.

@victording6698 You should never expect allies to assist. A nation must be able to fight on it's own and contribute to an alliance.

@AtlasTwerked The F-22 was offered to the Brits as a level 1 partner but of course their moronic protectionist government declined at the time which they admitted in their minutes was a mistake. Their Eurofighter was a complete boondoggle.

F-18's are navy fighters and absurd to use when aircraft such as the F-16 and F-15 are available to purchase.

@toddbleakney609 Correct, as a U.S. Air Force veteran I was baffled when I learned Canada was using old tired F-18s. Why use a Navy jet when the F-16 and F-15 are superior and cost less 🤣.
