@IonorRea The F-15 fought in the 91 Gulf War which everything from Fox Bats to MiG 29s. The F-15 has a more accomplished record than the F-14 and easily outlived it.

@Mr.Parker95 LOL, the Eurofighter is a boondoggle and a legacy airframe. This was evident during Libya. The F-35A will replace next decade if not earlier.

@ashleygoggs5679 The F-35 is superior to all of the legacy airframes you listed and has the identical role as the F-16 since it's the F-16 successor jet. According to the USAF Budget Overview procurement documents for FY2024 the F-35A's flyway costs are $50mil each. None of these legacy airframes can get their costs so low.

@dfdubyabass You sound like your aircraft knowledge is from a video game (turn rate) 😂. The F-15 has an excellent turn rate not to mention it has a superior climb rate than most other aircraft but besides that it has a beast of a radar and it's data linked to E-3 Sentry aircraft as is its peers. The Typhoon aircraft will be fired on by a high flying F-15 and if the enemy pilot shitting his pants trying to dodge missiles survives, the F-15 can choose to engage at an advantage or simply fly away. If you think a lone F-15C is going to show up and somehow be surprised in an air war you need to put that heroin away.

@EduSanjuan777 Please source your nonsense, I have debunked every Typhoon claim for 13 years straight. Hell, I have even seen videos of an F-16 easily taking the six of a Typhoon pilot. It's maneuverability is not amazing 😂.
2
@IonorRea Fiscal year 2023 the F-35A is 50mil each at fly away costs. Any country can afford them, Gripen with its F-18 engines is a legacy aircraft.

The F-15 II is a crony-capitalism project. The majority of the public is too lazy to research any military procurement 😂

Have you ever read up on the Typhoon over at the UKs House of Commons on the F-35 project? The RAF admitted to politicians that the F-35 is the most advanced multi-role fighter in the world. The Typhoon is a legacy airframe as is the very expensive F-15 II. For FY 2024 the F-35 fly away cost is slightly over $50mil each. It's far less expensive to buy and more advanced than the Typhoon.

The USAF didn't "decide" to buy it, the USAF never wanted it. The Pentagon made them buy them when it was run by a former executive of Boeing (No corruption here!). As usual the public is propagandized and the military is forced to pay for welfare programs so executives holding stocks in defense companies get filthy rich.

@davedevonlad7402 All of the American aircraft are data linked this way. The F-15 II is another crony-capitalism project for the Pentagon stock holders.

@IonorRea The F-14 was garbage hence retired. I saw them landing on our base blowing tires and leaking like crazy. Iran is a dump and has zero bearing on any military conservation. The Navy is for quick strikes and isn't running any wars. The two branches who bring the real destruction is the USAF and the Army, not the tiny Marine Corps or the few aircraft the Navy shows up with. The USAF knows what it's doing hence it doesn't wear stupid things like blue camouflage and has stealth aircraft not mentioned running the F-35 project for all the services. The F-15 was and always has been better than the maintenance pig the Tomcat.

@ThomasBestonso-zr4ko The Typhoon is a stupid choice as many are not even multi-role and there are few in number. The F-16 is built from the ground up as the NATO fighter of choice with schools everywhere to learn to fly and fight in it. Everything else is a foolish choice.
1
@Migthunder Many countries never opted for the multi-role overhaul, do your homework. As for the F-16 there are thousands, far more developed, and maintenance costs are lower. The Typhoon is a European boondoggle of epic proportions imitating the successful supply chain and procurement of the F-16. There is a reason the F-16 is the most exported fighter and Ukraine is requesting them above all else. Lockheed has the ability to completely overhaul retired F-16s sitting in the boneyard of Davis-Monthan, Air Force Base to produce hundreds more in short order. This isn't even a debate, welcome to reality.
1
@Migthunder When they came out they were not multi-role, were you not an adult during the US lead air strikes in Libya asked for by several European countries in 2011? I remember clearly how the US Navy and USAF lead most of the strikes and the Rafale's were capable and many Typhoons were not and some countries literally never paid to overhaul him and instead are moving to the F-35A. This should be common knowledge, the next thing you know is people like yourself will be spreading more misinformation that the Typhoon showed up as a multi-role aircraft and it had an AESA radar 😂
1
@Migthunder It's like you are unaware that there are still Tranche 1 Typhoons across Europe that are being retired in 2025-2030. The aircraft is a legacy airframe and the F-35A is available and built as a mulit-role aircraft from the ground up. Don't feel bad, there were poorly researched people in 2006 on YouTube when they all pretended the Typhoon would outlive the F-35A 😂. There are fools in every decade.
