Why do people think 3 wildly different societies should be compared? Japan went through the lost decades. Korea has mandatory military service, just became democratic 30 years ago and are dominated by a few companies with nearly half of the population in Seoul metro. And, China is a vastly different system.

@tanchienhyi7363 The thing is there are whiteys out there that know vastly more knowledge about specific Asian culture than me. This guy ain't it. There is some white dude in Korea that speaks fluent Korean and lives in a hanok (traditional Korean house). Dude likely knows way more about Korean culture than me. The proper angle for "youth" culture comparison would have been the "suneung" (college entrance exam) which is something is very similar in Korean and Chinese societies. Japan has their version, but it doesn't seem to be as intense. Regardless, even in the States, the 3 ethnicities have vastly different "personality" traits. My good friend was 2nd generation Chinese and her husband is Japanese and I'm Korean. Our personalities are a microcosm of the three cultures.

Geez, at least get the thumbnail correct. Maybe the dude could pass off as Korean, but the female sure isn't. It's a bit annoying.
