After reading the reddit sub /HermanCainAward, here is my conclusion. Don't feel sorry for any of these people. No need to feel sorry for their families. Feel sorry for the people that died pre-vaccine and didn't have a chance to take it. I remember there was an immune compromised doctor that continued working on the frontline in the beginning of the pandemic. He caught it and died. Feel sorry for these people.

Holy hell. There is a reddit sub called the HermanCainAward. It’s littered with these stories. Edit: And, its all shit they bragged about on FB. Anti-vax and other right wing crap. The punchline comes at the end: death. Man, FB is such a cesspool.

Naw, population was less than 2 billion. 4x more now. But, there weren’t airplanes back then. Only ships, so traveled was way more limited.

@wheezyrider5937 The pandemic has revealed that we are a pretty stupid country. We've got a lot of geniuses, a good chunk of well educated and a large chunk of idiots. Oh yeah, and these idiots don't travel outside the US. And, they certainly don't read the news about other countries. They live in their own bubble. (I've met a few Aussies during a few trips around Asia. Always super friendly and good people.)

@jules.8443 Yes, we had idiots back then too. Was a different time. Civil rights and police brutality wasn't something the average citizen could bitch about. Same arguments though: anti-mask. The police were more aggressive in enforcing the rules. (Also, the masks sucked back then.)
