  1. Did people forget about how the US government normally works? Cabinet secretaries don't have their own fiefdoms and run things on their own. They serve at the pleasure of the POTUS. Not having some type of technocrat in Treasury would be insane. That's how the plumbing starts to break. Cabinet secretaries carry out the agenda of POTUS. Not the other way around.

  2. The funny part is no one even knows the names she mentioned. Lasry: hard pass, the guy is private equity. Effron and McGuire have good resumes. Dimon would be the best pick. Treasury is an insanely complex job. Easy pick would be Lael Brainard, but not sure how much Harris would want from Biden admin.

  5. JPM has been the strongest bank since Dimon took over. Never needed any bailout money. And, all the fines they paid was from "dumb" acquisitions at the bottom. Dimon did USA a favor by buying Bear and WaMu. He has regretted it.
