  1. Korean people are very direct and a bit judgemental. Some of my K-relatives are darker and I’m sure they get weird looks in Korea. Me, it’s the opposite - since I look Korean, but can’t speak it well. I got weird looks / strange faces made at me interacting with people when I lived there. It’s not discrimination, but a strong directness. But, kids make fun / bully in any country. Growing up in the states was challenging in an all white neighborhood.
