Religion of peace, lol.

People around the world have been doing this for decades. People never heard of day old bread / baked goods. And, stores have been discounting goods for ages that are close to the sell by date.
33
If the governing party can't supply electricity, it's time for them to go. (not even going to mention public safety.)
25
Bike rider had guts. Didn’t immediately high tail it out if there.
14
HK can barely launder the CCP cash these days. And, a lot of global corporations have re-located to Singapore.
14
lol, no way is it only $1.8M USD laundered.
13
Tell me you know nothing about Korean history without saying you know nothing about Korean history. Korean people have been living there in the B.C. times. It was part of Korean territory 2000 years ago for 700 years.
11
To support local businesses and jobs.
9
The "what about" coming in full force.
7
lol, that’s a different sub.
7
lol, how the heck could China claim territorial rights that far south?
7
Has any country with a large population escaped the middle income trap? Korea is the largest (I think).
6
What about...What about...
6
It's a win-win. They are getting 20x the income than their home country. Even with the cost of living differences, they can save a lot of money.
6
Protecting high paying living wage local jobs qualifies as "politically motivated"? That's a weird way to put it.
6
It’s called photos. The sub wasn’t seaworthy yet. It can’t just get up and walk away.
5
lol, "all Asia"?
4
And, this is the downside of promoting college education. And, parents having these ideals. Needs to be balance and make sure there are avenues for “skilled” non-college workers. Not everyone can work in an office.
4
lol, they are going to kill their any hope for international business. According to a source familiar with the implementation of the “firewall,” the tool, acquired from China and under installation by the Ministry of Defense since May, is deployed at cable landing stations in Pakistan, the place where the undersea internet data cable meets a country's internet system.
4
Not in the way you are likely intending. It was the map drawing on the exit that screwed things up.
3
lol, what a joke. That isn't a deterrent.
3
I'll always be a traditionalist. Hard pass on drone shows. Just nice classic fireworks.
2
The SPX is +10% since April.
2
The first one was targeted: that area was for government officials and relatives.
2
@pehclark7256 Yeap, it was right across from the government buildings. That exercise area ain't for ordinary folk. (sounds like his ex-wife was cheating with a government official. the official used his influence on the courts and got the ex-wife a favorable settlement. Both were at the scene of the accident. All not confirmed of course.)
2
Well, it will make oil and gas exploration easier.
2
Brexit was a stupid policy and UK hasn't figured out what to do.
2
I'm guessing the time split half running / half exercises.
2
lol, 200%. That's tripling the cost of the item.
2
These new "sports" are totally useless.
2
So, they are going to attempt a version of "Minority Report".
2
It’s a common falcon that lives throughout the globe. If it was a bald eagle, then it would be shocking.
2
@htahtoo8851 lol, there are publicly available photos to see. And, these are the low res commercial ones. The last US President liked to brag and posted what kind of resolution the military satellites have.
2
It's like you don't know any history of US vs Pakistan vs India.
2
Wait, she has 9 kids?
2
The one child policy produced 40M+ and counting of a male gender imbalance. Can't make babies if dudes can't get laid.
1
Geez, you seriously have no clue about deflation. No one just shrugs it off since it’s a death spiral.
1
lol, obviously you aren't Catholic. Being Christian isn't the same thing as being Catholic.
1
lol, the US has a Christian fundamentalist problem.
1
@johnny-ih5es Literally, life is a one way street. You get older...and eventually die. Benjamin Button was only a movie.
1
@johnny-ih5es lol, what? And, what does that have to do with a knife attack in China? Seems like everyone wants to be Daddy Xi. And, think they are Supreme Leaders in thought.
1
Even growing up I knew Singapore had stringent laws on chewing gum. Korea has strict laws against protesting. But, people protest all the time after they get the permits and in certain locations.
1
Not confident the Vatican will choose another Francis-type in the next papal conclave. Will ruin all the progress he has made.
1
I always wonder who the possible "invader" would be. Is Singapore war gaming against everyone?
1
Methanol is not Ethanol, yikes.
1
@elenarewd9299 Agree, dude doesn't live in the States. We did used to have blue laws growing up though. That was weird.
1
Dude - you have some semi-valid points, but you are being hyperbolic and stretching the truth. The South has some weird laws, but they can't force any citizens to follow rules of the bible.
1
Boycott Malaysia and their Muslim people! Always a bunch of hypocrites.
1
lol, why don't you cut and paste the whole article from the Washington Post. Basically, the article says the money was allocated to the States. The States are working extremely slow. Stations are open in Hawaii, New York, Ohio and Pennsylvania and under construction in four other states. Twelve additional states have awarded contracts for constructing the charging stations; 17 states have not yet issued proposals. Nick Nigro, founder of Atlas Public Policy, said that some of the delays are to be expected. “State transportation agencies are the recipients of the money,” he said. “Nearly all of them had no experience deploying electric vehicle charging stations before this law was enacted.”

Of course the building that fell was a Chinese tofu building.
