  1. That's why it's always been a Dem issue. The lack of choice will hamper the lower socioeconomic class possibly into a economic death spiral. Yes, it's the same GOP that hates giving "free" welfare handouts, but won't let a poor women choose to get an abortion. (Even though we know all the rich GOP people can.) My Dad was a teacher and told me how the cycle of poverty works when I was pretty young around middle school age.

  2. Naw, the Catholic church has been so strict with their doctrine (that isn't practical), so people started to ignore their arcane rules. The Vatican is against condoms!

  3. lol, US Catholics have been trained over time to ignore top down orders from the high up structure ie the Vatican. Vatican is still against the birth control pill and IVF...and geez, condoms (for birth control which is a weird middle ground).

  4. Yeah, amusingly people were laughing at the "exodus" from California. The migration could really swing elections at some point.

  5. The interesting dynamics of GA and AZ. GA seems more of a red state, but a portion of GOP (Bulwark type) hate Trump and refuse to vote for him. The AZ GOP is somehow so incompetent they swung the state races as well. Will be interesting to see how the Senate races go in '26 with Ossoff and Mark Kelly.
