  1. Dunno about the American PC definition. The most practical use of the word is not saying "retard" and instead saying "mental disability". Really nothing to do with politics directly. And, then you do get people saying its gone too far vs people thinking it should be a bible. Politically correctness (right or wrong) is about not offending people vs people that just don't care and won't change their ways. I see no correlation to the Xi definition. (Personally, I'm in the middle most of the time, but there is so dumb shit we said growing up that I didn't understand.)
