  1. Flying is the easy part. Maintenance is going to be the bigger learning curve. Also, the old Migs can land anywhere and can have decentralized locations. F-16 needs a standard runway which is going to make their holding areas a big target for drone / missile attacks.

  2. A few things: the planning took weeks if not months. The blitzkrieg to Moscow was effective, but they needed more military units to defect. Also, needed some political support. Some units defected. Some were passive. No real political support. Moscow was going to blow / dismantle the bridges on the 3 main highways. RU Air Force was still active. Air Force would have tried to pin them down near the bridges until troops could be moved from UA and other parts of RU. Wagner had Moscow ground defenses outgunned and had infantry soldiers. Moscow had cops and national guard. Pretty hard to stop the Wagner tanks without ATGMs.

  20. Too lazy to research, but I wish they would have done a run down on what happens now. Ok, so they sold the properties. I'm guessing it's some type of sale-leaseback arrangement? And, Hyatt built a new hotel in Seoul, Korea in 2019: Andaz brand. Who paid all the upfront costs? Is it some type of joint venture with a REIT? etc etc

Samsung reported operating profit of 640 billion Korean won (roughly $478.55 million), down from 14.12 trillion won a year earlier, its lowest level since the first quarter of 2009. Nick - let me help you out. Samsung is a huge company with several different divisions. You have to add (or subtract) all of them together for a total.

The funny thing is the US deployed harsh economic measures against Japan even before they entered the war: began to cut off shipments of metals and fuel and eventually access to US oil (and even these were late in the game).

We (the US) literally have a section of the Airforce called China Aerospace Studies Institute. The China Aerospace Studies Institute (CASI) is a United States Department of the Air Force think tank which examines all facets of the People's Republic of China and Chinese Communist Party's efforts to project power in the air and space domains. Part of Air University, it provides support to the Air Force, the Space Force, the joint services, civilian federal agencies, and academic research institutions. Fun Fact: This branch released the unclassified version of the China Rocket Force last year. It created a big problem for Xi since much of the intel was likely gathered by the CIA via a turned Chinese spy / agent. And, it's responsible for some of the missing officers in China's military.
