The most important thing a city can do is…invest in a sprawling subway system. Seoul has 640 stations. Cairo has 74. Makes it much easier to spread housing out when people can move around easy. (And, Seoul still has an affordable housing problem.)

There are good charts out there that show the decline of union jobs and correlation of the decline of middle class incomes. We are basically ruled by corporations now.

Going to a small / medium sized company is usually best for longevity. You end up doing more, but much hard to replace since jobs don't overlap.

The San Diego plant was nuts. Was directly on a fault line.
14
Naw, the corporations run the country now. It's bullshit, but that's why there is so much money in politics.
11
Fractals is another nature driven concept.

The funny part is the only thing I remember when she was DA in SF was the drug lab scandal. No smartphones back then. I barely used the internet in my off time. I probably read the local paper more by paper than online.

Numbers are always opaque. Sounds like PGA was lower before. PGA is touting 55% goes to the players now, but there is always murky counting rules.
7
Vox does excellent work explaining things in layman terms.

Roberts is a politics guy. If the court was left titled, he would be voting on the right more just to make a point.
5
Geopolitics is extremely difficult. This is not something a simpleton can figure out.
4
The dude just seems like a nice guy. Was really enthusiastic talking about his craft.
4
@pictureperfect3211 I think that's the surprise part on Roberts. He's torn down the VRA at every point.
4
Come on Jesus. I thought you were omnipotent. Even I can read in between the lines.
3
umm, the American diet has always had meat.
3
Really? That's your takeaway from the video.

1- it barely rains in these areas 2- it's warmer, so water evaporates faster 3- it's well publicized the Colorado river is having issues

I got semi-ejected from a car in an accident. Doctor made me not work for a week from my summer job. I doubt these athletes are taking a week off.
3
This could have been about Japantown as well. The government stole the property of the Japanese residents and they didn't have their homes when released from internment camps.
3
Still my favorite movie. The phones (mobile, hardline and phone booths) are dated, but the concept is timeless. (for now)
3
Gun ownership is at the lowest % (36%) in a long time, eh. The problem is the people that own guns, own A LOT of guns, eh. (added the "eh" for effect)

Means nothing without China / India. Good luck with that.
2
I’m dumb about art, but I can appreciate Monet. The paint splatter gives me a headache.
2
I've had extended stays in Korea every 6-7 years. Felt tall on my first visit and short on my last in 2019. I'm 5' 10".
2
We can never see another planet that far away. Those are galaxies and stars. Planets are discovered by stars light dimming.
2
@sameehazaman1663 My dad loved space as well. I doubt his grandfather believed in "heaven" if he was a space nerd.
2
World War Z (the book) as well. But, it’s because these books / movies are basing it off history and research.
2
I think people are gearing up for the possible JWST discoveries.
2
Drugs. Lots of drugs. Done.
2
Won’t ever happen. That demo doesn’t watch TV and / or draw ratings.
1
They’ve done studies / surveys. If you list the healthcare plan without Obama’s name, it gets a significantly higher approval.
1
Bingo! Based on “values”. Houston, we have a problem. Facts have nothing to do with “values”.
1
JFC. This video is exactly why Medicare for all is needed. These people would benefit in spades.
1
The demand is there for the farmers. They are paying the farmers NOT to work. Also, food security is a national security interest. It's one of America's greatest strength that we don't have to import food. A bit more important than cars.
1
@k.5152 The farmers aren't raising cattle. They are raising cattle feed. If the US wasn't using it, they would be exporting it to other countries.
1
@k.5152 Stop dude. The government isn't going to make laws to stop farmers. Watch the video. They are giving incentives not to grow year round.
1
These people just need to move on. Celebrate the Korean culture pre-WW2 not some regime you've never lived under. I'm pretty sure I have relatives in North Korea, but I certainly don't have any warm fuzzies about them still.
1
Gerrymandering sucks. Our country is idiotic to leave districting to biased politicians.
1
Man, if only McCain would have hung on for 5 more years. No one was more consistent in understanding the threat of Russia.
1
200 billion galaxies. 100-200 billion stars in a galaxy. Would be a bit likely, there is another Earth.
1
The zoning laws has pros and cons: it's retained the charm in some of the outer districts from downtown, but also limited how many people can fit in 7 square miles.
1
This is the hidden cost of capitalism.
1
umm, you don't know Americans. 1/3 of the population can't even regulate their calorie intake and are obese. Likely, a huge factor why covid deaths were so bad in the US.
1
We had a metal slide near my house. I had to cross a 4 lane busy road without crosswalks. Oh yeah, the slide was on a hill and was 30 feet long.
1
Giannis is not a 3 point shooter and won the title. I’m a firm believer in the mid-range game as a threat. 3s and close shots makes an offense very predictable. Layering in a few sets for the midrange makes the offense more diversified and in theory will open up the 3s and close shots.

@justayoutuber1906 Nope. Was sitting in the back seat. We didn't wear seat belts in the back seat (back then). My head broke the glass of a hatchback. Ended up sitting in the trunk.
1
Nicely timed shade with her last statement.
1
There is a reason why NASA is in 12 different states. If not, their budget would be slashed even more.
1
Did not know that about Ask Marilyn. And, her name has savant in it. Kinda nuts.
1
Seems like the subtropic climates should think about growing alfalfa.
