  1. It would be bad initially, but remember: we have the smartest computer engineering people on the planet. It would be all hands on deck. People aren't a fan of big tech, but the government would lean on them for resources.

  3. The problem is that the PLA + other government agencies have a 10x the number of hackers vs US employees. There is a limited pool of tech people in the US for defense related stuff / government work since the private sector is way more enticing. Most hacking ain't technically difficult. You just need resources and manpower.

  5. I keep hearing Anduril is "targeting" a lower cost, but they haven't quoted anything yet. More competition and wider industrial base is a positive regardless. Way too much consolidation since the '80s.

  7. F-22 was never sold to other countries. F-35 has a ton of operators. It will be around for a while. The US alone is planning 2000+.

  8.  @anthonymolina7416  Dude - we never authorized the export of the F-22. Kinda the whole point of the video. It's expensive because the F-22 had low quantities. The per unit cost would be much lower if the initial order + exports would have been filled. And, parts are expensive because there is low demand for the parts thus making operational costs more.

Looks like South Africa was the first official outside buyer in '99. That's a lot of risk they took on by themselves. Bad internet research lays out all the controversies. Did some bad internet research and it seems like operating cost is $25-30K more than the F-35 per hour. $25,000 (low estimate) * 200 hours per year = $5M per year Basically, "someone" would need to fly the plane for 15-20 years to break even vs the F-35... that's if we gave it for free AND if they could still get parts etc. Edit: should have said <15-20 years. Anything more than that time period and the F-35 is better price wise.

If the PLA is going to attack the 7th Fleet, they aren't just going to save any bullets. Every worm, hijacker, trojan horse etc virus is going to be activated. They'll attack infrastructure (water, telecom, sewage, electric, internet etc), banking, transportation (ports, trains, airports etc). Think Jason Bourne when they activated all the agents. Unless TikTok is planting viruses via mobile somehow, it has nothing to do with cyberattack.

  47. The key which the US is terrible is having the AI drone aircraft cost effective. And, you still need people to maintain the equipment. If you have 1 fighter jet with 20 AI drone co-pilots that's going to be expensive on the maintenance side.
