  2.  @AnotherPointOfView944  There are roughly 800K cops in the US. Roughly, 300K national guard. And, then you have around 18M people who are military vets (obviously some are elderly and not in fighting shape).

  3. Did you watch the video? No harbors or waterways. No real transportation network and ways to transport goods effectively. Half of the country has a fly that kills livestock. Just because life expectancy has improved doesn't change the fundamentals.

  6. It's not the population size. It's the lack of density. Sure, there are large cities like NYC and Chicago. But, look at LA. It's so spread out. And, that goes for cities as well. There are 70 "cities" that have a population between 250K-1M people

  11.  @ninjasonicteenagewarhead4284  Power corrupts. Need to have selfless leaders that can manage without egos. That time has passed. Many of the effective leaders were in the 2nd half of the 20th century who laid the groundwork for their countries. Can't do anything in the shadows anymore and the hole is very deep to dig out from.
