It sounds like she is Hawaii based which is a whole different wrinkle. Hawaii is probably the least "classic" American than any other State. I moved to Hawaii from the East Coast for college. Everyone thought I was a foreigner.

@ If you never lived in Hawaii, you have no clue. Why try to "win" the internet with a snarky comment? I may have looked like a local, but like the video is talking about: I wasn't local. And, my name isn't Kim. This is a legacy screenname from my old roommate.

There is a really good video on how the lost and found process works in Japan.

I’m Korean, but didn’t have any Korean friends until college (US). One night, we went to an expensive steak place and ordered. Then, I was a bit shocked when they started cutting and splitting up the entrees to share with the table. I kept the habit whenever I go out with people to share so people can taste different dishes.

Naw, happens all the time in America. Used to get the random, "oh you, speak English so well". WTF lady. It's my first language.

Interestingly, the dude from Jordan immediately turned Japanese when he switched from English to Japanese. His intonations and mannerisms completely flipped while the other two seemed to stayed very similar. (Also, one of the most appropriate sponsor tie-ins for a video, lol.)

I’m Korean and born way way after your Dad. Grew up in the East Coast and always felt like an outsider. Moved to Hawaii for school and for once, I didn’t feel like an oddball. Helped me build my confidence and worry about normal stuff. Moved to Cali after school because of the job market in Hawaii.

Anyone can learn Hangul in a week. I took 1.5 years of Japanese and can’t read any kanji.

@sara.cbc92 lol, wumao!

lol, immigration and customs was much easier back in the old days. Just had to yell at them.

Hawaii is definitely not "American" in the classical sense. -UH Grad

lol, totally opposite experiences. Pretty easy to be an Asian in Hawaii, not so much in the midwest. And, Cali is the happy medium in between the two. (Grew up in the East Coast. Went to UH for college. Settled in Cali. I'm basically the combination of all these people's experiences.)

Being unique as a kid sucks. And, then you appreciate it when you are an adult.

@Chloe.zyxwvu Ignore people like this. They are hateful people and are low quality thinkers. It's just word vomit.

Happens everywhere in the world. I adjusted well in the US and all my friends were white. I'd say I was in the "B" group. Not the "A" jock group, but a level below (stilly high school stuff). I'd imagine if I hadn't adjusted well, I would have been bullied as well.

I thought it was filmed in the States because of the heavy American accents.

Always have to be careful about the long arm of the law in certain countries. For example: In Korea, gambling is illegal. So is doing drugs. It's not just illegal in the territory of Korea, but those rules follow you cross borders as a Korean citizen. So, I nixed getting dual citizenship. Plus, I might have been required to serve in the military even though I was near the upper age range of military requirements.

The answers are less interesting than evaluating the "friends" 0:30 the classic: conservative / normal with the "crazy" / liberal one 2:30 co-workers? seem to known each other for a while 4:40 8:15 9:30 Of course, they are friends. Styling very similar and even the hairstyles and makeup 5:52 this is the hardest one. Styling is different. Seems like they have some similarities, but also different. Maybe friends from high school
