Huh? The Korean won is pretty weak. Stuff is cheap if you think with a dollar mindset not Korean citizens getting paid in won.

@ Open your ears. Listen to the video more carefully. It says nothing about spending overseas. lol, you are misinterpreting economic vocabulary and putting your own assumptions into the mix. Obviously, you haven't taken any economic classes.

@ The funny thing is there is "something" that could cause it, but it's surely not people traveling overseas and shopping. I will leave it to your galaxy brain to figure out what "something" is.

@ Yeah, it's quite obvious you weren't a business major. It's likely sales from international platforms like Temu / Shein are not included in domestic sales. Alibaba is a bit more compicated since they are hooking up with a JV with the Samsung family.

@ Dude is making stuff up and has never flown on a plane. You can't bring food stuff into Korea unless it's packaged in a certain way. Basically, canned food or snack stuff. Duty free is only up to 400 USD (total). And there are ton of videos on Japan pricing at restaurants. It's not cheaper than Korea. A bowl or ramen is $7-8 or 10,000 won. The yen and won are in a odd convenient spot where the math is very easy. 1 USD = 1450 won = 151 yen 7 USD = 10,150 won = 1050 yen

Food security is national security. Relying on food production in questionable countries is plain dangerous.
