What's nuts is these marriages with chaebols are all arranged marriages, but the lawyers NEVER THOUGHT ABOUT A PRENUPTIAL AGREEMENT. What the heck? You know how dramas have plots about business families marrying a politician's daughter? It's not made up. She is the daughter of the South Korean president (and ex-army general), Roh Tae-woo. They got married when...he was in his first year in office, lol. Also, the dude was connected to the prior President, Chun Doo-hwan, who was a scumbag. And in typical Korean fashion was a Korean president that went to jail after his term. Edit: wrote this before the video ended. Realized they put some of it in the video.

1:17 My god. She looks amazing for being almost 60. Just use her as a CF for Korean doctors and / or beauty products. Also, she's another Korean drama plotline, lol (via Wikipedia): In 2018, South Korean media published an interview with two victims who said Roh verbally abused her personal drivers.[8] Two anonymous individuals who had worked as personal chauffeurs since 2007 stated that they experienced verbal abuse and violent behaviour such as throwing objects inside the vehicle.[9][10] Further revelations from a gym staff and her former secretary followed. Park Young-sik, a lawyer representing Director Roh also stated the following. "Everything is not true. It is highly subjective, so it is inappropriate to respond to each claim."[14] Honestly, it could be her husband paying off people to make her look bad in the divorce proceedings. Or, she could be a crazy chaebol wife. Edit: and, the other drama plotline. She's the founder / director of an art museum, lol.

Have to comment again. So many drama plotlines. The younger mistress who the dude had a kid out of wedlock was...the chairperson of the T&C Foundation. So, here's the recap: Back in the founding days of Korea democracy, a Korean president who was linked to the prior authoritarian government married off his daughter to a small conglomerate during the first year of his term. Soon after his presidency ends, his daughter's in-laws launch a bid for the STATE OWNED mobile telecom company. This launches SK to the conglomerate they are today. Just 1 year later... In October 1995, Roh, in a tearful televised speech, publicly apologized for having illegally amassed hundreds of millions of dollars in secret political donations during his term as president He was also charged with mutiny and treason for their roles in the 1979 coup and the 1980 Gwangju massacre. Ends up being convicted and sentence for 22 years. Fast forward to where the husband admits to having a kid out of wedlock with the chairperson of some random "foundation" and the wife who is the director / founder of a museum wants a divorce gets accused of mistreating her personal employees and sues for the largest divorce settlement in Korean history. So when you watch those Korean dramas, they basically are like Law & Order. They just rip things from the headlines, lol.

@rebeccaavoca9143 lol, tell me you don't know anything about Korea without saying you don't know anything about Korea. He was the eldest son of the SK Group when they got married. (there is an easy answer why they didn't get a prenup back then though.)
