Not to be a jerk, but his "friends" failed him. They should have been his support system. Unfortunately, this is where the brand sponsorship stuff is terrible. They generate the bulk of their income from brands. No one wanted to be seen with him. People should have let him know. Look, it's going to suck for a few years. We'll help you through the financial part. You'll get back into acting eventually. Guy just needed some hope. But, that's my American thinking and not Korean part.

@SwiaKeys lol, the dude wasn't up for murder or beating his kids. It's a drug charge. I had to deal with the GC and outside counsel to know how lawyers think. They told him to keep a low profile. Don't be seen in public. Be contrite. The dude just need a friend to meet him outside the police station and give him arm around the shoulder and say to the media something like, "he's my friend. I have no comment on the investigation, but I'm going to support my friend through the good and the bad times". Dude was probably either at home with his wife who was likely very annoyed at him. And, his kids which geez, either embarrassed / ashamed (both ways). Or at his lawyer's office who was probably charging him $500K+. Obviously, the dude can't go to a bar anymore, but someone could have went to the gym with him. Outside jogging. Went to restaurant with him and his wife and kids. Just stuff to make seem life normal.

@ValBrindilles Politely, I said, "But, that's my American thinking and not Korean part." Or impolitely, I'm f-ing ethnically Korean. Half my family (Mom's side) still lives in Korea. I lived in Korea as an adult. I've been to Korea over 10x.
