  1. The irony is both major parties support the ban. This is a generational thing. Old people that were raised when Korea was still in poverty vs the younger generations that grew up as Korea has become more middle class. At this point, I think it's a international "pride" thing. I think its a bit embarrassing for politicians when Korea gets referred to as the place where they still eat dogs.
