A decade ago, I was experimenting a lot for "fun". Water diets are more like cleanses and almost reset your body. But, some people will intermittent fast by the day. Eat Sun-Tue. Fast Wed. Eat Thu-Fri. Fast Sat (something like that). Not my cup of tea (pun intended). Here's the key though: don't mess with your metabolism over a long period of time. Caloric restriction can hurt a person in the long term. A person can go from eating 2000 calories a day without gaining weight to only 1500 calories a day if your body / metabolism downshifts. Always better to increase the exercise portion rather than just restrict calories.

@RanziYasasvi Again, it's not. It's burning stored fat for energy. Trust me, you drink a lot of water / liquids because you get bored and miss eating. I did the water fast for 2 1/2 days and quit. I've done a longer 2+ week liquid diet. Again, a diet that you consume a lot of liquid and just burning fat.

Literally, impossible. They were drinking water.

IMO, the 12pm-8pm is the most practical intermittent fasting regiment. No one can survive the 5:2 for a long period of time and live a normal life.

umm, it's the whole point. Because your body has no food, it starts burning your stored fat for energy.

Dude - it's 3 days. Your body will be fine. Things start to get REALLY weird at the 7-14 day mark.

@jkvnllmr Stop cutting and pasting random information. Again, I've done it. You are conflating a 2-3 day water diet with long term diets. Stop it. You are not a doctor.

@jkvnllmr I've done way more research on this over a decade ago. You've done like 2 seconds on Google.

They skipped over an important point. A lot of the headaches are due to the lack of caffeine if people drink coffee regularly. Water diets tend to allow herbal teas (no caffeine).

@Rachel88009 Professional ballet dancers put their bodies through a lot. It's more of a restrictive diet than no eating though. The girl in the video is doing it wrong. In theory, once people get to a certain weight, people can eat as many calories as the body burns daily.
