  1. WTF. The US has way way more murders per capita than Korea or Japan. Japan murder rate is tiny. They rank nearly dead least at 0.26 per 100K people. Korea is 0.60 and way far the the scale. What country do you live?

  2.  @multistan9582  The commenter is making an assumption off no data. It's lazy and incorrect. These type of stories are shocking in Korea because they are the exception. In the US, I wouldn't even think twice about hearing about stuff like this. It's a weird broad based judgement off an entire society due to this one off case. Korea and Japan are extremely safe countries.
