  1. Probably the last time that HK people can criticize the governments. Wouldn't be surprised if criticizing the bridge falls under the new national security law.

  2. Elections in a democracy as a check and balance seem to always outweigh the supposed efficiency of an autocratic government. The crazy EU discusses topics / projects so long and the levers move very slowly, but I'll take that over this pure waste of money (US is probably in the middle in terms of efficiency). It's like they did less research than a college student would do on a new bridge proposal.
