Japanese are real fans. They looked at his playing history for the past 6 months and realized that Messi had been struggling with soft tissue injuries. Dude literally had to leave the match against Brazil a few months earlier.

Do these Little Pinks realize that Messi turned down $1.5B / 3 year contract to play in Saudi Arabia because his wife wanted to live in Miami rather than The Kingdom?

@SERGIO-cr6uy lol, they are spending $800M a year on LIV golf. Ronaldo is getting $200M+ per year. Messi was getting more. Turned it down and they raised the offer higher. At that point, it's $200M-$500M per year. Does it really matter though? It was a huge amount either way.

jasonvoorhees5640 I have zero insight if he was intentionally snubbing Hong Kong or he was still struggling with soft tissue injury. What I do know from watching sports, trainers are aggressive in telling players to rest if something feels "uncomfortable" when players are dealing with muscle strains. And, stuff breaks down every easily at that age.

@SERGIO-cr6uy Ronaldo is getting $200M per year. Not total. And, lots of reports on Messi. Believe them or don't believe them. According to COPE journalist Helena Condis, the deal presented to Messi included a three-year contract in which he would earn €500 million per season. Jaume Roures: "Els saudites han apujat l'oferta per Messi a 500 milions, però la seva voluntat de tornar tindrà pes" Lionel Messi has received a formal offer to join Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal next season, a source close to Argentina's World Cup-winning captain told Reuters on Thursday. The offer from the Saudi club is the only one Messi has received so far, the source added. Argentine media have reported that the offer is worth around $400 million a year.

@malayshamorgan3918 It's his kids too. They are all school aged now. I'm sure Saudi Arabia has good schools, but it's a way easier transition for them to attend a school in Miami. (if you didn't know, but Miami has a large Spanish speaking population.)
