@benghazi4216 Yeap, free trade prevents wars was the mantra. Shit doesn't work with autocrats. Actually, it's the reverse. The autocrats try to exploit it and slice your neck with it.

US went through this, but to a degree it hurt more. People lived in the rust belt for 100+ years and then saw everything move overseas in a short amount of time. These towns have only been around for a few decades. No real attachment and people can leave pretty easily. The funny thing is all these CCP officials go to college in the states, but they don't learn anything from our history.
